Wire cutters
The material carried by the water of this creek was very interesting and I found two Austrian wire cutters.
They were mainly used by soldiers who arrived first close to enemy lines or who, in the nights before an attack, would silently go under the intricate wires of trenches, carving an access corridor for infantry troops.
For this reason, they were popular among the Sturmtruppen, the special assault troops.
A common and simple object that played a decisive role for the fate of assaults.
