Retroway glove
We are in an Austrian observatory/retroway area.
Searching through tunnels and old emplacements, I come across many shreds of what used to be a glove (there will be quite a bit of sewing work to be done), not far away I also find a small folding stove that was used by the troops. This indicates to me that in that overhanging rocky outcrop probably stood an advanced observatory.
I then come across pieces of Austrian stoves, for which, here too, some fine collage work will be needed.
I am moved by the majesty of the environment in which the armies fought. Imagine spending a winter in those caves and not in today's clothing. Imagine doing half-hour shifts in the observatory because of the blizzards and temperatures that exceeded -30/-35 degrees.
I would like to remind you that we retriever always tend to go out of our way to look for some artefacts, I myself am the first one who likes to retrace war ledges, but even the best collector's piece is not worth your life, if you have doubts about the route or lose your bearings stop for a moment and go back. They too died in the war while walking them and they were mountaineers before they were soldiers.
