War drill bits

Sometimes it takes very little to find a few objects. An hour or so, the place that never lets you down and nature with its course.
The snow at higher altitudes continues to melt, swelling the usual torrent, and brings these two war drill bits down into the valley.
It is not an exceptional recovery, indeed at war markets you can find them for a few dozen euros; but even the most common object takes on value depending on where it is found.
Anyone walking on the Dolomite trails notices many tunnels and emplacements dug into the rock and, at least once,  we have all said 'what a huge job!'.
Well, that work that both armies did in our mountains was also thanks to these two simple objects.
Two banal iron rods that allowed soldiers to shelter themselves from the high mountain weather and protect from enemy bombardment.
